We have had a well-attended meeting, with members from QFT, UoU and a Belfast film club as well as QUB staff and PhD students. CACity projects were further developed during the meeting:

 

- Digital project 

Mapping cinematic cities in architecture-film critical literature: an interactive database based on bibliographical research,

we have decided to start mapping Belfast as a prototype for this project with a plan to collaborate with QUB Computer Science for this phase. This study will hopefully help us understand how to shape up our funding application for other cities. We will also start to work on a text explaining the project.

 

- Film industry and urban development in Belfast and beyond

This project is starting with a film industry focus through a funding application for UK networking. Urban regeneration dimension will follow, further discussing how we could link the two.

 

The workshop and our biggest event will take place in June.
